The Next Level Of Outstanding Tourism Service Begins Here!!

This incredibly beautiful area lies between the Tsitsikamma Mountains and the sea. It stretches west to the Bloukrans River and east to Eerste River, and is named after the San word that means ‘place of abundant water’. This protected area is overflowing with an  indigenous forest that boasts ancient trees like yellowwood, hard pear, stinkwood, and ironwood; fynbos covered landscape and supports many animals and birds, like the shy Knysna Loerie.

The Tsitsikamma forest is a huge protected conservation area that supports an incredibly diverse ecosystem. It is ancient, and the trees tower above you as you walk in the cool shade of their protective cover.  The forest floor is a mass of ferns, moss and fragile fungi.

It is however the rivers of the area that have carved their way through mountains to create spectacular gorges, that have earned the area its unusual name. The streams that meander through vegetation, complete with crystal clear pools that glisten in the sun. Deep gorges widen into rivers make their way to the sea through a series of kloofs and waterfalls. Storms River mouth is one of the most magnificent, complete with its suspension bridge offers visitors some incredible views.
